Baraza la Taifa la Elimu ya Ufundi (NACTE) limetangaza kuwa vyuo 5 vimefungwa kuendesha mafunzo na kufutwa kwenye rejista ya vyuo vya ufundi nchini.
Pia Baraza limetangaza kuwa vyuo 41 vinavyotoa elimu ya ufundi bila kusajiliwa kwa mujibu wa sheria vimepewa muda wa wiki mbili na kutakiwa vijisajili mara moja kwenye Baraza hilo kabla ya kuchukuliwa hatua kali za kisheria.
Vilevile, vibali vya usajili wa vyuo 112 vya kutoa elimu ya ufundi vimefikia ukomo hivyo vinapaswa kutekeleza masharti ya Usajili; wakati vyuo 57 vimefikia ukomo wa ithibati, hivyo inapaswa kutekeleza masharti ya ithibati, imetangazwa jana.
Akiongea katika mkutano na waandishi wa habari, Mwenyekiti wa Baraza (NACTE), Mhandisi Steven Mlote, amesema Baraza limetoa muda wa mwezi mmoja kwa vyuo 112 kutekeleza masharti ya usajili na vyuo 52 kutekeleza masharti ya ithibati kwa mujibu wa sheria za uendeshaji vyuo vya ufundi nchini, na vyuo vitakavyoshindwa kutekeleza agizo hili vitafungiwa mara moja.
Mhandisi Mlote pia alitoa onyo akisema “vyuo 41 vinavyotoa elimu ya ufundi bila kusajiliwa kwa mujibu wa sheria nimevipa muda wa wiki mbili na navitaka vijisajili mara moja kwenye Baraza kabla ya kuchukuliwa hatua kali za kisheria”.
